Homeschooling

I plan to home school the boys as I have mentioned in a previous post. The plan is to start Evan in preschool when he's 4. I have started him on a few little things here and there to prepare him. He loves learning and I have a hard time pulling him away from it. His lessons will be M-F for about 4 hours or so (I'm still researching the details). I have already started preparing myself because there's a LOT for me to learn. I will be purchasing various curriculum that we will be using for his Pre-K from now until we begin in about a year. There is a lot to buy and I figure that it will be easier to buy it bit by bit rather than spend a huge chunk of money all at once. I just wanted to share the curriculum we will be using.

This is the same curriculum my friend, Melissa, used and I am quite pleased with the results. I'm looking forward to working with Evan on this and will be doing a lot of preparation this coming year. I will be attending a 2-3 day seminar for SWR this September. It's a lot of work but I am confident that it will be well worth it. We will also be working with Classical Conversations which is a local group that gets together once a week. The parents work with each other's kids. The children also work on projects and presentations to get used to speaking in front of people. I don't believe that I could have found a better program than the one that I have chosen.
